ABA-PRO LIST
The list is mainly dedicated to the discussion of Applied Behavioral Analysis
(ABA) as a technology and science. It is the intent of the List owner that
the list be used to discuss new paradigms in ABA as well as new developments
in it's use. Although, the list will be of particular interest to
professionals in the field of ABA it can also be very useful to parents who
want more information about ABA. The list will also be of particular use to
parents of children with autism, pdd, pdd/nos, and severe behavioral
disorders who need assistance.
Although, some discussion will be entertained outside of the main topic these
sidebars will be extremely limited as the focus of the list is applications,
theories, and new developments in ABA. Please remember that it takes many
opinions and thoughts to make the world a better place. Not everyone can
always agree we can; however, always be kind. Try to always remember this in
your comments.

The autism-physio is a list that started up for the
specific purpose of sharing information and discussing various
physiological/metabolic/genetic theories about autism and
possible interventions based on those theories. I know that a
certain amount of this sort of thing goes on on other lists; I
thought it might be useful to create a space dedicated to it.
As lists go, it has been relatively quiet. There are about 70
subscribers at the moment.
If anyone here is interested, you can
join by sending the command
subscribe autism-physio (firstname lastname)
to listserv@maelstrom.stjohns.edu
This is very new, so please don't
be shy. I'm hoping to share
experiences with others who regularly deal with Autism on any level. If you have any questions about
the list, please feel free to e-mail me at aprilsklar@funtv.com. To Join, click

Our-Kids is a "Family" of parents, caregivers and others who are working
with children with physical and/or mental disabilities and delays. We
call the list "Our-Kids." While it isn't exactingly descriptive, it
avoids the pitfalls of labeling our kids anything but what they most
certainly are: The wonderful little people in our lives.
The Our-Kids list consist of over 800 people representing children of
varying diagnosis; everything from indefinite developmental delays and
sensory integration problems, to cerebral palsy, to rare genetic
disorders. Over 35 countries are represented on the list now.
Here we can discuss our children's accomplishments and defeats, knowing
that the audience includes others who know what we are going through. We
can also get some idea of how others address specific problems/concerns
with feeding, learning, schools, medical resources, techniques and
equipment, as well as describing the problems to friends and family or
just coping.
A few professionals, organizations and therapists also monitor and
contribute to the list.
This list is not for the canvassing of any particular religious or
political ideals nor is it a forum to debate for/against abortion or
euthanasia. In fact, the list is not for debate whatsoever. The sole
purpose of this list is for support and information for ourselves and
our kids.
